Just last weekend, for the first time she expressed a desire to have a particular object. We weren't sure at first. Take it away, she cries. Give it back, she's content. Take it away.......until we were sure she had expressed a desire. Guess what she wanted? The Ben & Jerry's carton! :-) We're not sure if she wanted it because it was cold or because it was colorful. She's got enough control of her hands to intentionally grab things and put them in her mouth.
