Michaela demonstrated how she can be helpful in the yard the other day. Mom was picking up rocks from the yard and putting them in the wheelbarrow. She was soon joined by Michaela, who picked things up and, without putting them in her mouth (a truly amazing feat), put them in the wheelbarrow. She is also finally getting over her reluctance to crawl on the grass, especially when she wants to get to Mom or her toys. This week, her parents discovered how useful garage sales and Craigslist are for toys, and now Michaela has a play house, rocking horse, more books, police motorcycle, and an assortment of other toys.
She's also drinking out of her own cup, although it still means she ends up getting her clothes wet. But she doesn't cough nearly as much now - and she can drink while sitting up. That whole gravity thing had her confused about why water wouldn't flow up to her mouth.
