Michaela is at that wonderful stage where she imitates nearly everything she sees us doing. This includes using the broom, the hammer, and using the keys to open the door. It's so fun to watch. She is also making her preferences clear to us in non-verbal ways. For example, she goes to her high-chair when she's hungry. She made her first attempt at running today when I let her out of the cart at the supermarket. She took her first trip to the beach this week - in the shallow relatively warm water at the beach in Alameda.
